It just so happened that I was in Port Townsend a few weeks ago and of course I had to stop by one of my favorite stops, Quimper Sound, the CD store that happens to have a coffee bar. I was chatting with the owner (at least I think he was the owner) about music and stuff including their coffee, and he was telling me about how great his coffee was.
Since I had just drunk a latte less than an hour before, I wasn’t ready to buy another, but the owner being confident he could backup his boast, offered me a free latte. I am glad he did because I really enjoyed the latte. The latte was nice and strong, had great flavor the the barista did a great job baristaring (or whatever you call the action of steaming and foaming the milk etc).
Two things for sure, I think they have the best coffee in Port Townsend and I will certainly stop there next time I am in town.

I’m actually planning on a trip to Port Townsend next month for the first time, so I’ll have to drop on by a taste of the coffee it sounds like. FYI – there’s no industry term for the whole process of brewing the coffee, so no need to worry. There is the separate acts of pulling of the shot, frothing the milk and the occasional latte art.
Fun blog btw, I just stumbled across this via Google. You can’t go wrong with food and coffee in the Seattle area. I’m curious what camera setup you’re using for your photographs?
Thanks for the complement. I know there are quite a few coffee blogs out there, I was hoping, in addition to coffee and the cafes, I would get some haiku in there too… but that might not happen quite yet
I use ’simple’ camera set-up. I have a Nikon D40 with which I use a couple of Nikkor lenses (18-55, 55-200, 30-70) depending on the type of shot I am looking for.
One of these fine days, if I even make a lot of money, I’ll buy the new Nikon D700 … that would be nice!
